Fury of WW1 hero's family over theft of memorial plaque bearing his name

"Pte Jim Ferrier, from north Manchester, was shot 10 times during an Allied surge on the Western Front in 1918 before he finally fell in battle aged 33.

His body was never brought home, and the memorial at Boggart Hole Clough stood as the only marker for his bravery before it was stolen.
