Police look for missing veterans memorials
Police are looking for two 4-foot-by-5-foot bronze plaques inscribed with the names of Western North Carolina's war dead from Vietnam and Korea that went missing last year.

Women tend to the graves of loved ones at Stamford cemetery
"Tending a grave takes a particular devotion, quiet and enduring, driven by love. So when someone started stealing the bronze flower vases that fit into grave markers at Fairfield Memorial Park, it was more than burglary to Wanda Hanson and Ann Ventsias. It was injury."
